The much awaited film Ready's music is finally in the store and as expected two of the songs is already making its way to the chart The album comprises of total four songs and four remixes.
With Pritam experimentation to blend different style of music with four lyricists and singers like KK, Mika Singh, Rahet Fateh Ali Khan, the composer has tried every possible effort to make Ready one of the biggest commercial soundtrack of the year.
'Character Dheela', Salman's quintessential song also featuring Zarine Khan, is the first track on the album. A typical bollywood song lives up to the expectation with Pritam's pumping beats with Amitabh Bhattacharya's perky lyrics and crooned by Neeraj Sridhar and Amrita Kak. The music is quiet uplifting and will drag your feet on the floor but the fun part of the song is the lyrics which are light hearted, frisky and are easily hummable, Ishak ke naam pe karte sabhi ab raas leela hai, Main karoon toh saala Character Dheela hai, ho! Main karoon toh saala Character Dheela hai…... will easily bring a smile on your face.
The remix of 'Character Dheela' just adds to the fun of original song with more beats and is a treat for remix lovers.
The second in a line is 'Dhin chika' one of the most talked about song of the movie is clearly a Salman Khan song with total fun and masti. The song is a perfect play for party track and Mika's singing had made it groovy. The lyrics are again peppy and will teach you 12 different ways to love your lover for twelve months.
'Dhinka Chika' Remix is okay and doesn't change much, but what adds to that required X' for remix version is Amrita Kak's powerplay at the background.
After the two fun filled songs the album turns towards a romantic duet with Humko Pyar Hua' by KK and Tulsi Kumar. The romantic ballad could have done better but falls on an average note except the English verses which works better if compared. The remix again doesn't offer much to listeners.
'Meri Ada Bhi' is a recreated version of the golden era classic Punjabi track Picche picche aunda meri chal ve naa aayi'. The song brings out the festive mood of the movie but might work better once the video is out. Remixed version again fails to bring out the novelty from the original track.
Overall, the album has acquired few brownie points with the track Character Dheela and Dhin Chika, as it has already started making rounds on the charts. But the drawback of the album is that it doesn't have many songs. The remix falls on the average line and acts as a dragger in the album.
