The American hip-hop duo Eminem and Royce Da 5'9... is back!
Eminem and Royce Da 5'9 during their blooming careers in 2000 started Bad Meets Evil' and after a decade the duo has finally unveiled the much awaited EP album Bad Meets Evil - Hell the Sequel Deluxe Edition'.
The album put together by the best lyricists is vocally refreshing unlike most of the rap albums. Comprised of 11 tracks, the album is crammed with profane, erotic, explicit and abusive content. One can say that the deluxe edition is a golden opportunity for The slaughter house' to excel on the world-wide platform.
Hell the Sequel's introductory track Welcome 2 hell,' opens up with nifty harmonized beats blending into intense rhymes. The song has unique lyrical pattern with singers sharing alternate lines. The collaborative pattern emphasizes on the allurement of the two rap artistes and succeeds in setting the tone for the album.
The next inclusion in the EP album is a bonus hit song Fastlane.' The track witnesses' one of the slick lyrical and instantly derives attention with Eminem erotic lyrics for Nicki Minaj and Royce fury. The furious yet appealing song definitely stays on the loop.
The Reunion' is a humorous narrative rap with Eminem abusing his girlfriend, but slows down the pace of the album due to its narrative nature.
The yet another engaging song Above The Law' is tuned in a cinematic keyboard riff with a grasping kick-off chorus by singer Claret Jai, followed by the fuming blares of Eminem, but the heart of the rap is the witty gags belted out by Royce.
The next track I'm On Everything... is reminisce of Eminem's former drugs days. The rap works perfectly with Mike Epps and Royce's hilarious verses, especially Royce's comical reference to the Hangover movie, the song once again embrace the unique back and forth lyrical pattern in the last stanza.
Even though the title A Kiss' will remind you of romantic song, Eminem has made sure that the song doesn't fall in romantic or pop genre. It's a crude and misogynistic, but the song is creative and flippant, created only for those who can digest the hard-hitting words. It's a shrewd song where Eminem notoriously disses Lady Gaga naming her a male lady'.
Bruno Mar featuring track Lighters' speaks about making a dream come true with singers raping a pop tune with harmonized piano. The next track Take from Me' tries to bring some variety with the blend of acoustic guitar and piano. The song talks about the music piracy, it's the first song where artiste have actually prepared a rhyme for illegal downloading, which is unique indeed!
Finally, the song Loud Noise' familiarizes the much awaited Royce group Slaughterhouse' to the EP album. The hip-hop number turns out as a chaotic rap as five vocalists fails to unify the song and the screams at the background exasperate listeners.
EP Deluxe edition concludes with two bonus track 'Living Proof' and 'Echo' produced by DJ Khalil. Living proof' has a funky hip-hop beats where as 'Echo' cashes on constraining guitar tunes. The spooky voice of Liz Rodriguez in the song Echo brings the sinister vibe and makes the track perfect fit for the album.
As a whole, the album is a hit for all the hip-hop and Eminem fans, the collaboration has definitely got the best output from both the artistes. Eminem and Royce's powerful word play has succeeded in bringing the fun-yet-serious feel to album. The unique approach towards collaborative singing with Eminem and Royce outwitting each other in line after line lyrics that are filled with rage, mockery and the witty punch lines, definitely satisfies listeners and produces great music.
