MUMBAI: After releasing its first Cyanogen-based smartphone- Yureka early this year, Micromax is ready to release its second Cyanogen-based smartphone called Yuphoria in India.
The Yu Yuphoria, which runs on Cyanogen OS 12, features a 5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1080 pixels resolution, a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and comes with a metal body. The smartphone has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 which is clocked at 1.2 GHz. The device also has 2 GB RAM with 16 GB inbuilt storage, and is powered by a 2230 mAh battery.
On the camera front, the Yu Yuphoria sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The device also includes Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo chip, a feature that aspires to provide exceptional audio quality.
The device, which is 8.25mm in thickness and weighs 143 grams, is designed by Yu and is assembled in India. It will be launched in steel with Buffed black and Champagne gold with white.
The device is priced at Rs 6,999.
