85 per cent Indian marketers optimistic about brand performance in 2013: report

MUMBAI: Placing greater emphasis on growing brand loyalty, integrated marketing campaigns and the returns on investment, Indian marketers are highly optimistic about the expected outlook of their brands in 2013, with 85 per cent confident that their band will perform better than 2012, according to the Ipsos Asia Pacific Marketers Outlook 2013 report.

Jay Z unveils 'The Great Gatsby' soundtrack sample

MUMBAI: Popular rapper Jay Z has unveiled a sample of the soundtrack of the upcoming film ‘The Great Gatsby’ online by Interscope/Geffen/A&M. The movie has been scored and co- produced by the singer himself. The soundtrack features 12 tracks performed by artists like Beyoncé, Fergie, Q Tip, GoonRock, Coco O of Quadron, Gotye, Nero and Sia amongst others. As per reports, Beyonce covers Amy Winehouse’s track ‘Back to Black’ in the film.

All decks cleared for auction of private FM stations in Phase III: Tewari

NEW DELHI: Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari has said the government is exploring the possibilities of having a dedicated 24 hour FM news channel and wanted the public broadcaster to leverage the unique opportunity provided by the telecom revolution that made access to All India Radio easy. Addressing a function to present the Akashvani Annual Awards in New Delhi last evening, he said the required clearances have been taken for the auction of private FM channels.
