MUMBAI: His voice has lent itself to all genres, and how. But how many music lovers are aware of the funny side of Sonu Nigam?
Did you know the 42-year-old mimics other artistes so well, he unfailingly has his audience in splits. Sonu recently shared some of his memories, on Twitter quoting his partner in crime, singer Shaan.
Lots of you would have seen this... Still felt like sharing again.. :) I love what both of us did here. Hilarious.https://t.co/vcpQT3cCOn

This is not it. The tweet made us recall Sonu, famous for his sidesplitting takes at various award ceremonies.
Remember the Zee TV comedy chat show ‘Johny Aala Rey’ hosted and produced by comedy king Johny Lever, which first brought Sonu Nigam’s jocular side to public attention?
Sonu impersonated a number of singers; from Anu Malik to Kailash Kher - he nailed it all. In fact, the vocalist mimicked Kailash Kher so brilliantly, we actually paused for a moment to believe if Sonu is not lip-syncing. In the ‘Dekho Sham Hone Aayi’ version, he imitated two legendary personalities, S P Balasubramaniam and Lata Mangeshkar. Adnan Sami, Suresh Wadkar, Kamal Khan were not spared as well.
Another gem - when Sonu visited the sets of Sony's 'Indian Idol' and imitated his favourite singer Udit Narayan at which veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar quipped, “ Even Udit cannot impersonate himself the way Sonu does”.
Go ahead, relish the videos. We assure you they will make your day.
