MUMBAI: Colors Infinity's 'The Stage 2' is definitely one of the best things that happened to English music lovers in India. Thus, even an opportunity to perform on this singing reality show means the world to many like Mellissa Dessa.

Dessa, who was eliminated on Sunday (25 September 2016) from ‘The Stage’, says she is grateful to have got the opportunity to perform on the show. However, she does feel bad about having made an early exit. “I thought I would nail the performance, but I froze. It was my fault that led to my early exit,” says the 21-year-old fashion designer.

Her last performance on ‘The Stage’ has not disheartened her, however. In fact, it has motivated her to pursue music. Thus, Dessa who is not from a music background is now looking forward to giving it another year. "‘The Stage’ was the first music thing that happened to me technically and I am looking at taking it further,” avers the aspiring singer.

She also received a few tips on overcoming her stage fear from the judges, something that she will be working on. 

Mellissa Dessa is the second contestant to be eliminated from ‘The Stage’. The first to be eliminated was Charu Bakshi.
