MUMBAI: For an artiste, being rewarded from the industry is grateful, but an award from the government of the state that one belongs to is an honour.

Music composer-singer Vishal Mishra who hails from Lucknow recently received the ‘Marvellous Achiever of the Year’ award for his contribution to music, by Shri Ram Naik, Governor of Uttar Pradesh.

The singer has given tracks for two films this year, Munna Michael and Qarib Qarib Singlle which soon made him the go-to composer for many producers.

For Vishal, it is a huge honour to receive the award in his early years as a composer. The honour has motivated him to create great music in the future as well.

Commenting on the same, he says “As a young musician it's always encouraging when your work is recognised and awarded. I am thankful to Shri Ram Naik for bestowing this honour on me.”
