Eros acquires music rights of Shravan's film

Mumbai: Shravan Rathod, part of the Nadeem-Shravan duo, has sold the music rights of his debut production Kash Mere Hote to Eros International. The film stars newcomer Kumar Sahil and Sneha Ullal. Music for the film has been composed by Shravan and will be released some time in April. Says the music director turned producer, "It is an one film deal with Eros as of now. But going ahead, we do intend to work together."

Rahman to compose score for Ghajini game

Mumbai: FX Labs will be designing a computer and console game for Aamir Khan's forthcoming film which is a remake of Ghajini. Ace musician Allah Rakha Rahman will be giving the background score for the same. Confirms FX Labs co founder Sashi Reddy, "Yes, Rahman will be composing the music. However, he is the composer for the film, it is too early to talk about the game's music." The game will be launched a month before the film releases, that is this year end.FX labs is also developing a game on Dhoom 2 titled D 2.5 which will hit the stores in April.

Sangeet Bangla climbs to third position among GECs

Mumbai: Sangeet Bangla, the Bengali music channel from Media Worldwide, has climbed up to the third position among Bangla GECs, according to the TAM data for week 12. The company, that also runs Hindi music channel Music India, claims to be number one Bangla music channel since the past three years. According to TAM figures, Sangeet Bangla notched up a channel share of 2.09 per cent among the target audience of 15 to 24. The channel offers Bangla music, ranging from the classic to the modern.

Case against RGV by T-Series stayed till July

ALLAHABAD/MUMBAI: The criminal case against filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma by music major T-Series in Noida is stayed on Thrusday by the Allahabad High Court till 1 July. The stay had come on an application by the filmmaker seeking further stay as the Courts interim stay order for five days just before Holi was expiring.The filmmaker has sought quashing of the First Information Report (FIR) in view of the fact that an FIR filed by him against the music major is pending in Mumbai.
