blueOrb/ buffaPirate applauds I Haat Delhi organising team

MUMBAI: Delhi-based electronic music producer Praketh Sunder is currently working on a self-curated weekly radio podcast. Sunder is a music producer who seconds under his aliases blueOrb and buffaPirate. He recently performed at the 'I Haat Delhi' festival at the Garden of Five Senses in Saket.

When asked on why he has two different aliases, when both play electronic music, Sunder said to Radioandmusic.com, "blueOrb is my alias to promote and play experimental electronic sounds in India covering various styles like downtempo, deep bass music, psychillout, ambient, glitch and an overall intelligent sound, while buffaPirate as a concept, is completely geared towards the dance floor with Trap bangers, bass music with delicious drops and even some 4x4."

Sunder is also the only Indian electronic music producer to be signed under French electronic music label Ultimae Records. A couple of Sunder's mixes are also available for streaming on the Ultimae Records website. The label has its own music licensing and publishing services, and it also acts as the booking agent for many electronic music acts and DJs from around the world.

Sunder released a buffaPirate bootleg EP last year, and still has leftover material. "I have enough material ready to release at least two EPs, but I am waiting for everything to get glued together into a tight concept which would come along with a Live set as well," said Sunder.

He recently performed at the I Haat Delhi festival as blueOrb, and termed the experience "awesome". "It is not very common to find people who believe and support electronic music styles like ambient, chillout, dub etc., and therefore, I always appreciate any opportunity I get to perform as blueOrb. Also, I must give a big thumbs-up to the 'I Haat Delhi' crew for providing such a space. The effort they put into making things happen was definitely massive and the end results were definitely quite stellar," Sunder added.

Sunder also stated that musical influences for both blueOrb and buffaPirate are quite varied. "blueOrb is deeply influenced by experimental and psychedelic electronica like OTT, Bluetech, Androcell, Boards Of Cananda, Tycho etc, while buffaPirate is influenced by groovy and foot tapping beats by artists like Bro Safari, TroyBoi and more," he said.

He has even created the special set that he played at I Haat Delhi.
