MUMBAI: BBC Radio1's Residency for 2015 promises to be an entertaining one, with a line-up consisting of DJs like Flying Lotus, George FitzGerald, Hannah Wants, Heidi, Jon Hopkins, Kaytranada, Skream and Solomun. The Residency is scheduled to begin on 8 January 2015.
The show will be aired twice on Thursday, once at 10 PM and again at midnight. Head of Programmes, Radio 1 & 1Xtra, Rhys Hughes stated in the release, "In 2014 Radio 1's Resident DJs brought our audience an incredibly diverse mix of music from the dance music world. To continue in this vein for 2015 we've enlisted a who's who of the most exciting DJ and production talent in the world. It is a stellar, global line-up that demonstrates the breadth of dance music across Radio 1."
Kaytranada also stated in the release that he was quite excited to be a part of the show. "During my high school days, I used to listen to my favourite DJs mixes on BBC and now, here I am. Damn. I'm going to play the best music for y'all," he said.
In the past, the show has seen quite a few big names including Moxie, Sohn, Jackmaster, Martin Garrix, Steve Angello and James Blake.
