Ankur Tewari & the Ghalat Family to open for Norah Jones

MUMBAI: If you’re planning to be a part of Norah Jones gig in the financial capital on 3 March then there is more to add to on to your excitement. Ankur Tewari & the Ghalat Family will be opening Jones’s debut gig at the Only Much Louder's music festival ' A Summer's Day' in Mumbai. This is the first time that Jones, who lost her father Pandit Ravi Shankar in December at the age of 92, will perform in India. In addition to Norah Jones and Ankur & The Ghalat Family, the main stage will also feature performances by singer songwriter MWard and the Karsh Kale Collectiv.

BIS Certification mandatory for all STBs

NEW DELHI: An order issued in October last year that all specified electronic goods including set top boxes have to conform to standards set by the Bureau of Indian Standards will come into effect from 3 April this year. The order of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology had said on 3 October 2012 that ‘all specified electronic goods including STBs imported or domestically manufactured must bear a self Declaration “Confirming to IS........ Registration Number”.
