World renowned DJ Hardwell performs for thousands of kids from Magic Bus in Mumbai

MUMBAI: World-renowned Dutch DJ Hardwell kick-started his World’s Biggest Guestlist event with a special performance for more than one thousand underprivileged kids from Mumbai from leading children’s organisation, Magic Bus. The performance, supported by event management firm Percept, took place at the Bombay Port Trust Ground in Mumbai.

DJ Hardwell visited India as part of the first instalment of his global charity tour, World’s Biggest Guestlist, a joint initiative between Hardwell’s United We Are foundation and Shailendra Singh’s Guestlistevents.in that aims to raise funds for children in need. As part of the initiative, DJ Hardwell and Shailendra Singh visited the BPT slums on 12 December, 2015 and spent time with families of few of these children living in these slums to personally see and understand the challenges these kids face every day. DJ Hardwell spoke to the families to understand the challenges and opportunities of living and growing up in India.

After spending time in the slum, DJ Hardwell and his crew proceeded to the BPT Ground where one thousand children from Magic Bus were eagerly waiting for the world-acclaimed DJ to arrive and belt out few of his most popular tracks. DJ Hardwell not only played his music but also engaged in many games with these children. After his captivating performance, Hardwell distributed prizes for the various contests that the children had participated in.

Shailendra Singh, inceptor of the Sunburn Festival and Joint MD of Percept, said, “We are lucky to have the world’s best DJ with us, supporting this cause. We have a massive fan following of dance music in the country and our idea is to mobilise everyone towards the cause of education through this genre.
