Eros International's musical drama Banjo goes on floor

MUMBAI: Eros International, a leading global company in the Indian film industry had recently announced the association with the ace Marathi director, Ravi Jadhav for his upcoming Hindi directorial debut, ‘Banjo’. The musical drama starring Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri is set go on floors on 17 January, 2016 in Mumbai.

‘Banjo’ is… more than a story, is a journey. It is a journey in which someone crossessevenseas to meet her dreams. And some reach their hearts to meet themselves. Orchestrated by destiny, a DJ from US meets a Banjo Party from Mumbai… they take the leap, they fly, they rise, they stumble, they dust, and they stand again.

Eros International producer Krishika Lulla says, “Ravi Jadhav is a name to reckon with in the Marathi film industry and has been credited with several blockbusters under his belt. At Eros, we have believed in and promoted content driven films and the association with a talent like Ravi Jadhav for ‘Banjo’ is an extension of this belief.”

Director Ravi Jadhav added, “Banjo has been a dream project to launch with in Hindi cinema. It’s a musical drama, a story of a group of friends who create history with their path breaking music. I am very glad to have Eros backing my vision and looking forward to entertaining Hindi film audiences with Banjo”.

‘Banjo’, produced by Eros International and directed by Ravi Jadhav features Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri as leads. The music has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar and lyrics have been penned down by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
