MUMBAI: Indie pop artist Phoebe Ryan has released her new single Forgetting All About You featuring Blackbear. The instantly irresistible kiss off track showcases Phoebe’s signature airy vocal style and is available. The song features artwork created by Phoebe herself and is set to be included on her upcoming sophomore EP due out this fall.
“Last year, I had spent a month or two in a wild daze, convinced I didn't need anyone or anything to tie me down. I was fearless, reckless and super high on life. Even when I was home alone and watching cartoons naked, it was a freakin party, Forgetting All About You was written in the midst of those days with close friends who understood that I needed a song to celebrate my Independence and all the nonsense that came along with it,” Phoebe says.
Phoebe was first recognized for her ingenious mashup of R. Kelly’s Ignition and Miguel’s Do You, which reached number one on Hype Machine and has gone on to accumulate over 30 million Spotify streams to date. Her debut EP, Mine came shortly after, drawing attention from the likes of tastemakers such as Taylor Swift, Tove Lo and Chloe Grace Moretz. Having attended NYU’s Clive Davis School of Record Music, Phoebe has written songs for a number of artists including Bea Miller, Melanie Martinez, and most recently Britney Spears Man on the Moon from her latest album Glory. Additionally, Phoebe recently lent her vocals to The Chainsmokers platinum certified smash hit All We Know.
