Knowing Trivedi’s musical abilities, the album naturally becomes an anticipated one. Radioandmusic.com brings to you the music review of the album which comprises four songs and a remix of the title track.
Guddu Rangeela
The title track of the film is crooned by ‘Jee Karda’ singer Divya Kumar and Amit Trivedi. The song has some whacky lyrics which keep you glued to it. ‘Guddu Rangeela’ is the kind of track which will get you grooving to it catchy beats, and as the song proceeds, Trivedi introduces elements of rock. Overall, the track is a good listen, and it also has a remix version.
Sooiyan
This is probably the best song on the album. Crooned by Arijit Singh and Chinmayi Sripada, the romantic track is extremely soulful. The track starts off slowly pace, and eventually picks up the pace. Trivedi also adds some folk elements, and Sripada’s voice complements Singh’s perfectly.
Sahebaan
‘Saheeban’ is another beautiful track on the album, which features a few folk elements. The husky vocals of Shahid Mallya and the soul stirring voice of Sripada are a few things that make the song a great listen.
Mata Ka Emali
Mata Ka Emali is a song which showcases influences of the qawali and bhajan. The song is composed and written by Subhash Kapoor. The track is a more lighthearted and casual listen, and is very different from the rest of the album’s sound.
Overall the soundtrack for ‘Guddu Rangeela’ is fairly decent. The film releases on 3 July, 2015.
