MUMBAI: The month of November ends with no surprises on the album charts with Adele's latest release ‘25’ – her third studio album - entering the chart at the top position. Since its release on 20th November, the album has smashed every record possible before entering the last month of 2015 with sales of 800,307 copies. The album not only sold more copies than the following 86 albums combined, but also more than last 19 number 1 albums combined.
Elvis Presley's 'I Can Dream', which is second on the chart, continued its run in the top three for the fourth consecutive week. 'I Can Dream' replaced last week's number two- 'Purpose' by Justin Bieber which finished the week at number three. Last week's chart-topper 'Made In The Am'- One Direction's fifth studio album- dropped to fifth position, followed by Little Mix's 'Get Weird' which completed three weeks in the Top 10. Jess Glyne continues her impressive run in the Top 10, albeit slipping from sixth to eighth position, one position below 'Alone in the Universe' by Jeff Lyne's Elo. Olly Murs' 'Never Been Better' returned to the chart after spending 36 weeks in Top 100 from Dec 2014 to August 2015. Rod Stewart's 'Another Country' completed the top 10 in last position, having spent the previous week in the seventh spot.
Adele's first single from '25' titled 'Hello', however, did not top the singles chart, and instead finished third behind Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' and 'Love Yourself', which were in first and second positions, respectively. Bieber's dominance on the chart continued with a fourth position finish for his other single 'What Do You Mean'. The single replaced last week's number four 'Sax' by Fleur East, which finished at number five, followed by 'Never Forget You' and 'Take Me Home' by MNEK & Zara Larsson, and Jess Glyne at number six and seven, respectively. Nathan Sykes’ 'Over and Over again' took the eighth spot, making it the only new entry in the Top 10. One Direction's 'Perfect' spent its sixth week on the chart, in ninth position, followed by WSTRN's 'IN2' which completes its third week in a row on the Top 10 chart.
Meanwhile, ‘When We Were Young’, the second single from Adele's new album, entered the chart at number twenty-nine.
