Viewers to demand for their favourite tracks on 9XM #Asktrack

MUMBAI: Indian music channel 9XM has partnered with Askme.com to launch India’s first crowd sourced playlist show called #Asktrack. The social media based request show; AskTrack will air Bollywood songs requested by the viewers through Twitter, Facebook and Whatsapp platforms. #Asktrack sponsored/presented by Askme.com airs on 9XM starting 21 December, 2015 every Monday to Friday at 5:30 pm.

Speaking about the initiative 9X Media chief revenue officer Pawan Jailkhani said “Our music channels are known for their music curation and innovative programming. Our latest show on 9XM titled #Asktrack, will be India’s first show to generate live playlist via social media. In this endeavour we are happy to have Askme.com on board as our partners for #AskTrack and are confident that this viewer’s request show will resonate with the music lovers across India”

9XM viewers can select their favourite songs from the shortlisted songs presented across 9XM social media platforms.

The songs garnering the maximum number of votes will be used to generate the playlist for the 90 minutes break less music band #AskTrack. Speaking about the association, Askme.com group CMO & head digital strategy Manav Sethi said “We are excited to partner with 9XM to launch #AskTrack, a unique concept which will allow customers to request songs through social media. With this initiative we are continuing with our objective of offering another unique service to our consumers who are inclined towards music. We are confident that this partnership will be beneficial for both – 9XM and Askme.”

Viewers can click on the FB/Twitter link to vote for their favourite songs; the playlist will also be shared on www.9xm.in/asktrack to enable seamless voting experience for the viewers.

Speaking on the programming innovation 9XM and 9X Tashan cluster head-programming Baljinder Mahant said “9XM #AskTrack will be India’s first crowd sourced playlist show. We give the audience the power to decide the playlist on the show which first of its kind across any music channel. The selected songs will be aired instantly, so that the viewers don’t have to wait for a week to watch their favourite songs.”

#AskTrack will be promoted across digital and social media platforms via ads and banners.
