MUMBAI: Liam Payne, member of the popular British boy band One Direction, recently wrote a single for the Irish boy band ‘HomeTown’ titled ‘The Night We Met’.

The information was released through Twitter, when the singer tweeted about the video for the single on 21 December. A few days after its availability in Ireland, the track is now available in the UK.

The track was co-written by British songwriter Jamie Scott, who also co-wrote two other singles for the Irish band, titled ‘Standing In The Rain’ and ‘Roses’. 31-year-old Scott also contributed for One Direction’s last album ‘Made in the A.M’ with songwriting duties.

Since One Direction’s last gig in December 2014, Payne has kept himself occupied with the news of collaborating with Juicy J, Little Mix, Omi and Will Singe. Although, none of these tracks are released as yet, the collaboration track ‘The Night We Met’ with ‘HomeTown’ becomes his first post One-Direction release.
