Samsung Galaxy Tab to debut in India

MUMBAI: Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, has announced the launch of its first tablet device, the Samsung Galaxy Tab in India.

India is one of the first three markets where in the world where the Galaxy tab is being launched.

Weighing at 385gms, the gadget allows consumers to experience PC-like web-browsing and enjoy multimedia content on the 7-inch TFT-LCD display, with high resolution per square inch of display. Users can create and edit all Office Documents like Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Moreover, They can continuously communicate via e-mail, voice and video call, SMS/MMS or social network with the optimized user interface.

The tab supports the latest Adobe Flash Player 10.1. Powered by a 16GB memory expandable upto 32 GB, the tab has a 4000mAH battery and is available with accessories like – desktop dock, keyboard dock, car mount, diary case and pouch, stylus, Car Charger, detachable travel charger, TV – out cable, headset and USB cable.

Samsung is also providing MapmyIndia navigation package free as an introductory offer along with the Galaxy tab. Google Maps, 3 MP AF camera, fully immersive full HD experience with powerful graphics, video and music with sound alive 3D audio experience are of the other features that it boasts of. It also comes with 3G HSPA connectivity supporting high speed data upload and download, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and 1.3MP VT Camera.

The tab also ofers e-reading application, The 'Readers Hub', which provides easy access to over 2 million ebooks, 3000 magazines and 1600 newspapers in English and vernacular languages. Indian users of Galaxy tab can access 55 Indian newspapers in English and vernacular languages on their Galaxy tab. For music, Indian consumers will be able to access over 100,000 Indian songs, optimized for the Galaxy tab, on the Samsung Mobile web and wapsite. More than 100,000 Android Market applications are accessible on the Tab. In addition to the Android Market, Samsung is providing special customized applications on the Samsung App Store for the Galaxy Tab.
