New Delhi: All India Radio (Akashvani, AIR) will carry a ball-by-ball commentary of the five one-day International cricket matches and three T-20 matches between India and Australia scheduled in Australia this month. The commentary will be bilingual - in English and Hindi.
The commentaries will be available on AIR’s national hook-up and FM Gold network and will be simultaneously relayed by 66 identified Medium Wave AIR stations across the country. Hourly updates will also be given on AIR’s FM Rainbow Channel that will be relayed by all other AIR FM Rainbow Channels, thus ensuring unique dissemination. Hourly updates in regional language will also be broadcast by AIR in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.
There will be special interactive bilingual programmes in Hindi and English during each ODI and T-20 match. These will mostly be during innings-breaks of the matches and at the end of the match.
