Samsung launches smart messaging phones Chat 322 and 335

* Chat 322 is Samsung's first Dual-Sim Qwerty bar phone

MUMBAI: Samsung  on Thursday announced the launch of its smart messaging phones, Chat 322 and Chat 335. These phones come with messaging features like Qwerty keypad, mail, instant messenger and native SNS clients along with messaging features like an Optical Track pad, Active Sync (Push Mail App) and Smart Homescreen where the user can create shortcuts, buddy lists and live ticker feeds from Facebook and Twitter.

Ranjit Yadav, Country Head, Mobile & IT - Samsung India Electronics, stated: Consumers are increasingly wanting to stay connected with friends and family through SNS, IM and messaging while being on the move. These new qwerty phones from Samsung meet their needs through convenient messaging features and at the same time offer differentiated features....

Chat 322 is Samsung's first  messaging phone with QWERTY keypad and dual-sim standby.With the DUOS advantage, users can choose economical operator tariff plans, access two separate networks for better coverage with a dedicated SIM switch key, enjoy local and roaming advantage and thus save on costs.

It offers users direct access to SNS links to 6 popular Social Networking portals MySpace, Orkut, Flicker etc an is equipped with ActiveSync (Push Mail for Google), Easy Email set up for other popular mail IDs and popular Instant Messengers like Yahoo, MSN & GTalk.

The phone comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, 1.3 MP camera, 2.2... LCD display, FM radio. The phone has a 1000mAH battery offering a long talk time of upto 12 hours &  49 minutes and standby time upto 588 hrs, a 45MB user memory which is expandable upto 8GB. The Samsung Chat 322 is priced at: Rs. 4,990/-.

Samsung Chat 335:

Positioned as a messaging phone, the Samsung Chat 335 is a QWERTY bar phone with an optical track pad, Wi-Fi and SNS apps. The 11.9 mm-thick phone comes with a 2.4... LQVGA TFT LCD display encased in a metallic design. Its native Social Networking features allow easy viewing and updation of information on Facebook and Twitter. There are quick links to six other popular social networking sites. The phone also supports popular IMs like MSN, Yahoo, Palringo (GTalk, Facebook Chat & AOL) and has the Easy Email set up feature that configures mail by only inputting the username & password of the mail service. A home screen feature for shortcuts, buddy lists and personal information tracking (schedule, events etc) plus connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0 for fast and secure file transfers, a 3.5 mm audio jack,  a 2 megapixel camera and Find Music feature plus a 1000mAh battery supporting a long talk time of up to 14 hours and a user memory expandable to 8GB are other features.
