MUMBAI: Digital cinema platform United Media Works (UMW) has joined hands with Bohra Films to launch Gaanabajaana.com for independent artists. The platform can be used by musicians, singers and performers for showcasing their talent. The platform aims to facilitate a fruitful interaction between artists and event promoters. Around 2000 artistes are already registered on the platform.
According to the two partners, Gaanabajaana is a simple platform that helps talent overcome lack of opportunities, thereby helping them get noticed on a national stage. It also helps event promoters and organisers choose from an array of distinguished talent, thereby facilitating part of the decision making as far as event management and planning is concerned.
Commenting on the new venture, Anil Bohra and Ravi Bohra, creative directors at Bohra Bros said, “By joining hands with United Mediaworks, our aim is to build on our respective strengths to dish out the most concrete platform for independent artists and serve the entertainment community as a whole. With this platform, we strive to offer better services and easier management for the entertainment needs of the people. We hope to reach out to the country’s vast talent pool and benefit them positively with the new venture.”
United Mediaworks presently provides services across Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Jharkhand, Bihar and Gujarat. The company has expanded its services to West Bengal and Karnataka in early 2016. United Mediaworks (UMW) was launched in June 2011, by the Bhandari Brothers, Ashish and Sachin along with Dr Pradeep Tapadiya.
