MUMBAI: Radio City, the country’s leading radio network has successfully added several feathers to its cap at the recently held prestigious award shows. Radio City along with Radio Mantra has bagged four Asia Pacific Consumer Awards, nine Golden Mikes Awards 2016 and eight Indian Radio Forum Awards. Radio City and Radio Mantra together secured seven shortlisted positions in the Indian Finalist list at the NYF Awards 2016. Radio City has yet again marked a successful year by making an impact on the radio industry.
The victory run for Radio City began at the Golden Mikes that were held earlier this year. Golden Mikes celebrates the best in the business of radio advertising across India. Radio City won a total of nine awards across categories, viz. Effectiveness, promotion and innovation. Radio City’s Dil Deke Dekho grabbed the limelight for its effectiveness and promotion. The show was awarded Best Use of Radio, Best On-Air Promotion by a Single Radio Station for Self (Sponsored by a Client) and Best Public Service Initiative by a Radio Station or a Network of Radio Stations respectively. In the Promotion category, Radio City also won awards for Best on Air Promotion for a Client (Multiple Station) and Best Public Service Initiative by a Radio Station or a Network of Radio Stations. Radio Mantra’s Music ka Nasha won Best On Air Promotion for a Client (Multiple Station) and Best On Air Promotion by a Network of Radio Stations for Self (Sponsored by a Client) in promotion and Best Radio Media Innovation in innovation. Darr Dobara on Radio City Fun Ka Antenna won the Music Broadcast Limited award for Radio City Music Broadcast Pvt Ltd.
At the recently concluded Asia Pacific Consumer awards 2016, the network hit the jackpot with three Gold and one silver category awards for Best Use of Celebrity Endorsement, Others - Human Interest Story and Successful use of Technology and Successful Use of CSR activity respectively.
Rounding off the winning spree, Radio City proved to be the star of the show at India Radio Forum 2016 awards, with eight awards. Radio City VIP Promo and Masti Ki Paathshaala Contest won the best radio promo – in-house for Tamil and Gujarati respectively. RJ Shiv was crowned the best RJ of the year in Telugu and his show Radio City RJ Shiv grabbed the Best Breakfast Programme in Telugu. Chaar Footiya Dost was awarded the Most Creative Campaign and Best Media Campaign for 2016. Apart from the above, Radio City has also bagged Best Radio Programme Packaging and Best Interactive Idea for Radio City Potugaadu and Salaam E Ishq respectively.
