MUMBAI: Audio and video technology giants Dolby continues to grow its reach in the Indian market. With over 60 cinema screens added to its list, the San Francisco based company expands to newer territories and outlets with the development.
On the latest expansion, Senior Regional Director-India, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Dolby Singapore Pte. Ltd., Pankaj Kedia commented, "This year, we plan to install Dolby Atmos in 100 screens in India against less than 40 screens for the last year. We expect most of the growth to come from multiplexes in the form of new billing and single screens through renovation."
Dolby had added around 40 screens already last year, and with 100 new additions, the Atmos sound systems would be installed in almost 150 screens, however, Kedia hopes to reach 200 screens soon.
