MUMBAI: After few months of touring across India, solo electronic music project Fuzzy Logic's Arfaaz Kagalwala will release the new Fuzzy Logic EP 'Mrs. You' in January 2017. The new EP will be one of its kind compared to the previous two EPs 'Guerilla Monsoon' (2014) and 'Foe on the Floor' (2016).
What’s more? The title track ‘Mrs. You’ will have a music video based on Arfaaz’s conjugal existence.
Commenting on the same Arfaaz shared, "The 'Mrs. You' EP is a catchy, melodic, and tech-house sound. This will be quite a contrast from the previous two EPs which were a bit more brooding in nature. It's probably a reflection of post-marital bliss and hence the word plays. It's meant to be a 3-4 track EP which will be released along with a music video for the title track."
“The music video depicts the culmination of my personal journey from India to France (music and love life),” added he.
The music video is being created by the talented filmmaker, Aman Mahajan who accompanied him on his Europe tour last year to be able to film Arfaaz’s journey and experiences for this video.
Also, Arfaaz hasn’t signed to any record label at the moment but he is working on some collaboration with a French electronic producer duo that goes by the name ‘FRMWRKR’. “They play these live, improvised sets using analogue hardware and it’s really something I’m into these days,” shared Arfaaz.
On the subject of rolling electronic dance music, he said “How can I be authoritative if my own musical knowledge is limited? There are so many worlds of music to explore. Some people do, some people don’t. The EDM scene leads me to believe that there’s no hope. But it’s all temporary so that’s reassuring. The idea is to find a balance based your priorities.”
Apart from touring in India, Fuzzy Logic’s recent endeavour includes his crowd fund stop-motion animated music video Pretty Child’s premiere at TEDx Delhi on 27 November. The video will also feature animated images of all those who contributed to the crowdfunding campaign.
“The video is made by American artist, Joey Ellis who will painstakingly stitch together thousands of images that he has created specifically for the video, using elements from his childhood such as play-doh, etch-a-sketch boards and other nostalgic toys. The animated music video will be released online on 1 December 2016 globally,” said Arfaaz.
