Mumbai: Original audio series have proven a successful formula for music services, and Hungama Music – one of the most followed music app in the country – has launched its own audio series, titled ‘Mera Wala Music’. The series will focus on musicians’ stories behind their respective songs and a few untold stories.

With an intention to bring the fans closer to their favourite musicians, ‘Mera Wala Music’ was launched with the first four musicians namely, rapper Badshaah, Diljit Dosanjh, Mithoon and Palak Muchhal. The four musicians represent first month’s set of artists who will be followed by Ayushman Khurana, Hard Kaur, Salim-Sulaiman and more in the subsequent months.

The latest development adds to the host of new programming initiatives namely ‘Non-stop Music’ that would offer best tracks across genres. with an application upgrade for its iOS users. The upgrade focuses on the nativity of the iOS ecosystem providing a cleaner and sleeker look with simple and intuitive user journeys offering an elevated in-app experience. Hungama’s effort to curate a playlist for every kind of activity extends to ‘Non-stop Workout’ for its gym-enthusiast subscribers, party-themed program called ‘Non-stop Club Mix’, a playlist for the road ‘Non-stop Road Trip’, etc.

The Hungama Music app for its iOS subscribers went through a design upgrade keeping in mind the nativity of the operating system making it simpler, cleaner and sleeker offering an elevated in-app experience. In keeping with the belief that “Offline is the new Online”, the app has revamped the offline experience further. The new iOS app gives users an option to download a complete playlist that is available for offline playback as against the erstwhile listing of individual songs. In addition to this, a significant technology upgrade has brought in seamless streaming on 2G networks ensuring an uninterrupted playback.
