MUMBAI: To facilitate the entertainment needs of mobile savvy young Indians who are looking for hyper-personalised and bespoke experiences, Vodafone play has announced a strategic collaboration with Discovery Channel.
The idea behind doing this is to expand its infotainment section with a bouquet of 12 channels from Discovery Communication India. Starting from science to travelling, Vodafone Play will now have wide choice of viewing channels like Discovery channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Discovery Planet, Discovery HD World, Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo, Discovery Kids, Investigation Discovery (ID), Animal Planet HD World, TLD HD World, Discovery Tamil and Sports Channel DSPORTS.
When contacted Vodafone Play India VAS and content head Dipankar Ghoshal commented, “Vodafone Play is a single window offering content across genres and languages and this association with Discovery strengthens our infotainment category. All consumers including the Velvet Rope Generation can now watch what they want, when they want and how they want. Our partnership with the Discovery Channel will make their channels now accessible to Vodafone Play users who can view according to their convenience.”
