MUMBAI: Tanvi Shah who made her debut in Bollywood with Yuva's melodious number Fanaa, released a minute long acapella of Bharatham on Youtube as a contribution to the rally for rivers initiative today.
Rally for Rivers is breakthrough campaign launched by Isha Foundation and Sadguru to save the life lines of this country. Isha Foundation is proposing a comprehensive river rejuvenation plan to reverse this decline and revive our rivers.
She has etched a niche by conquering and being the unlikely Indian doing Latin American music. Tanvi has also shown her versatility as a singer with songs like Jai Ho, Gangsta Blues, Delhi 6, Rehna Tu, Sheher Mein, Pappu Can't Dance Saala et al.
This is her version of the original (Bharatham) song. Shyam Benjamin and Vinay Sridhar Hariharan have helped in the mixing and idealization of this song. It is mainly vocals and bass in which editing has been done by MN Bose and PK.
This song was made in less than a week, and a lot of people are already coming forward to support the cause. Dancers, musicians and other artists are contributing to Tanvi’s version of the song with their specific talent.
On being a part of such a great cause, Singer Tanvi Shah says, "I feel blessed to do this for such a huge project. It's a very small contribution of mine. Water is the source of life, and if our rivers are going to dry out, we are the ones who will suffer. We need to make sure we save every drop."
