MUMBAI: Mumbai University’s only community radio station Must Radio which is facing transmission issue since past eight months has very slim chances of going on-air. There are no attempts being made in acquiring a new transmitter as stated by the varsity back in July this year. The new string of information coming from the educational institute suggests that the delay in student results has yet again put the community radio station on the back burner.
“There is no response from the authorities. One of the reasons for the same is the Vice Chancellor’s sudden leave. But, one needs to take a call on Must Radio. There should be clarity on whether they want to shut the CRS, in this case, it will have to be handed over to I&B Ministry. For now, we have no option but to wait for the authorities’ decision,” said Must Radio programming head Pankaj Athavle.
The university results which are on hold since past four months are yet not declared. Thus, the Must Radio issue is being ignored.
