The South canÆt have enough of Daler
MUMBAI: The South Indian Film Industry or Tollywood seems to be smitten by a mania – DALER-ious Mehndi Mania! Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi recently rendered another song in Telugu for NTR Jr. starrer Baadshah.
Mehndi, who is touted as the Bhangra King, made his Telugu debut in South Indian films with ‘Rubber Gaajulu’ for ‘Yamadonga’ in 2007. The rendition was super hit and had the audiences enthralled and screaming for more. He also delivered another Telugu song – the super hit title track of Rajnikanth's Kuselan.
Daler, who has been occupied with his latest project Mission Love, agreed to record the Telugu number despite his busy schedule. He flew especially to Hyderabad to croon the track and was greeted with overwhelming response by the film director Srinu Vaitla. The song in power-pitched voice of Daler was recorded in couple of hours and is a track to watch out for!
The action movie is produced by Bandla Ganesh under his Parameshwara Art Productions banner Thaman is scoring music for this mega project and lyrics are by Ramayogi Sasthry. The movie is scheduled to release in the summer of 2013.
