Radio Mirchi goes primitive on World Environment Day

MUMBAI: Environment day pe listeners rahe fit, Cycle race ka funda hua hit!!! On the occasion of World Environment Day, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, Indias hottest Radio station, organised a special ?‹?“Mirchi Cycle Race to pay tribute to Mother Nature with its listeners in Lucknow. Mirchi Cycle Race initiative was targeted at spreading around the message of healthy environment and importance of green and pollution free planet in unique Mirchi style.

On June 5, 2008 the Radio Mirchi Cycle Race started with 500 participants (approx) who had registered themselves through on ?“air contests, by sending sms and filling participation forms at Radio Mirchi station. The race was speeded by District Magistrate Mr. Chandra Babu today morning with a team of RJs and Lucknow listeners going around the city. The winners were awarded fabulous prizes and also got an exclusive chance to meet their favourite RJsSharing his thoughts on the initiative Anirban Sen Gupta, Station Head, Radio Mirchi, said, Radio Mirchi being a responsible Radio station has always been a step forward in associating itself in finding solutions to problems faced by common masses. With Cycle Race, we wanted to give listeners a wake up call and make them understand their responsibility towards our planet and strive hard to make it a clean and pollution free place to live in.
