Speaking with Radioandmusic.com Sawant said, “Harpreet and other composers of the album are all like my family who made composing the album easy. This album was more of a family album- we knew each other from the past and were aware about our likes and dislikes.”

He further added, “When I decided to do the album, I was aware that I have talented people around me, so why would I search far away. This was an advantage for me. I am hoping that the work we have done as a family will be appreciated by all.”

Sawant performed a few songs from the album at the launch and the video of the lead track 'Farida'  was also unveiled. ‘Farida' is Sawant's third studio album and the first under Universal Music India.

The star-studded night was filled with pleasant satirical humor by Sawant and talented singer Kailash Kher.

Harpreet said at the event, “To have an album launch now days itself is a revolution.” To which later Kher added his view, “We all (musicians) are revolution in ourselves.”

He took this opportunity to present his views on the growing trend of physical to digital transformation. He also highlighted that he encourages musicians who work on promoting non-film albums.

Sawant revealed that he completed the album first and then approached label companies, he said, "if you have a product in hand then the quality speaks for itself."

Some other singers present at the evening were Neeti Mohan, Shilpa Rao, Meiyang Ch?ng, Shweta Pandit  and many more. Akbhar Sami, Aditya Thackeray, Anusha Dandekar, MTV producers Raghu and Rajeev also graced the music launch event.

The album is available on both physical and digital formats. Universal Music India VP- marketing Sunil D’Sa said, “Since his Indian Idol win in 2005, Abhijeet Sawant has come a long way with his music. He’s toured the world, performed to different audiences all over and now he brings his vast experience and maturity into his new album ‘Farida’ making it easily his best work till date!  This is a new and evolved Abhijeet Sawant both in terms of song lyrics as well as the `sound’ of the album. For the first time Abhijeet touches upon modern Sufi as well as rock and even soul elements."

Sawant’s first song 'Mohabbatein Lutaunga' from his debut album Aapka Abhijeet Sawant  was a hit. His second album, Junoon-Abhijeet Sawant was released in 2007 and the track 'Junoon' topped the charts.
