MUMBAI: Bangalore’s numero uno FM radio station, FM Andre Radio City 91.1 FM is all set to pay a tribute to the legendary Kannada actor Dr Rajkumar on his birthday (Apr 24). Radio City 91.1 FM is all set to host a special Blue Carpet featuring one of his all time best classics, ‘Shankar Guru.’

The movie will be screened at ‘Tribhuvan Theater’ at 4pm this Wednesday. Radio City has given out nearly one thousand tickets to ardent fans of Dr Rajkumar amongst Radio City listeners, giving them an opportunity to be a part of this nostalgic celebration. Popular Actors of yester years, who have acted alongside Dr Rajkumar in his movies, will be present at the screening. Also present will be a cross section of current day film and media industry who will celebrate Dr Rajkumar’s birthday along with Radio City listeners at the Blue Carpet. The star-studded event will feature the likes of Raghavendra Rajkumar, Meena Tugudeepa, Dinakar Tugudeep, Jayamala, Sudharani, Sudha Narasimharaju, Vanitha Vasu, Padma Vasanthi, Loknath, Rekha Das, Srinath, Mandip Rai.

Radio City Blue Carpet is the culmination of a week- long on-air special on Radio City 91.1 FM featuring unplugged songs of Dr Rajkumar, Special interviews featuring the lesser known aspects of the legendary actor, Popular Dr Rajkumar movie dialogue contests and Special Interviews of Dr Rajkumar Heroines like veteran actresses Jayanthi, Saroja Devi and Jayamala amongst others.
