Sab launches musical reality show
MUMBAI: Sab TV has launched a new musical reality show, Krazy Kiya Re. The show will have eight contestants selected from across the country, showcasing their singing talents in a way different from the usual talent hunts bombarding the television. The format of the contest is woven in a manner to bring an element of humor.
Judging the show will be actor Sachin Pilgaonkar and bringing the glamour quotient will be actress Perizaad Zorabian. It also plans to rope in other guest celebrities judges as it moves on. Says Sab Business Head Anooj Kapoor, Krazy Kiya Re is definitely not a run-up-the-mill music reality show. With music as the core, our show with its whacky content and crazy twists will surely break the clutter. In addition, we have the extremely talented Perizaad and Sachin, who not only has a keen musical ear but is also well versed with many languages as judges; making this show a must watch for all in the family.
There are varied rounds in this show. Adds Kapoor, They are unique, breaking the conventions. There will be no compromise on the music or melody but at the same time it is different from the on-going musical reality shows. It will test the creativity and versatility of the singers keeping the melody intact. The show is sure to bring a smile on the face of the audience.
Optimystix Entertainment Pvt. Ltd is producing the reality series. Executive MD and head of creative Services Vipul D Shah said, These krazingers will take us down memory lane as they will either have to sing to a new beat, or translate it in a different language or completely reinvent a tune, which all of us had fun creating in our good old college days. We are proud to create such a unique format. We are confident that Krazy Kiya Re will be well accepted by the Indian audiences around the world.
There will be no public voting and the winners will be crowned by the judges themselves. Kapoor explains, It was a conscious decision not to have public participation in selecting the winner as the format is a little difficult for the common man to judge. We wanted to be fair to the contestants.
