MUMBAI: Irish rocker- U2 has released their first single in four years titled 'Ordinary Love', which will feature in the movie 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom'. The track was specifically written and recorded for the biopic and first appeared on the band's Facebook page on 21 November.

'Ordinary Love' has the typical sweeping U2 vibe with lead singer, Bono's high vocals and impressive guitar work. Co-founder of the Weinstein Company, Harvey Weinstein, who asked the group to compose a track for the biopic said, "The band saw various cuts of the film over the summer and worked diligently to write a song that truly reflects Nelson Mandela. I think they did a brilliant job honouring the man and the leader they have known for over 20 years."

The track will be included in a biopic about Nelson Mandela, former South African president and activist, which is slated for a 29 November release. As part Record Store Day's Black Friday sale, 'Ordinary Love' will be available on a 10 inch limited edition vinyl. The track will be on the A side, while the flipside will feature a "Mandela Version" of their track 'Breathe', originally released on the band's 2009 album- No Line on the Horizon. The vinyl will be limited to only copies.

Meanwhile, reports say that U2 is looking at an April release for their upcoming, but untitled album which the band has been working on in New York.
