MUMBAI: Renowned for singing Ghazals like Chitthi Aayi Hai, Chandi Jaisa Rang Hai Tera Pankaj Udhas has released his first ever Ganpati song, Jai Ganeh to welcome Bappa to spread festive vibes in the nation.
Talking about, what led to the making of the song Pankaj said, “I never thought this song can come out while having a small lunch at my studio recording while working on some project with Vishal Dhumal, who is an honoured composer, outstanding writer Aalok Shrivastaav and my daughter who has an enormous faith in Siddhivinayak. My daughter me to record a song for Lord Ganesha and being a Ganesh devotee for many years now, I believe that it all happened only because of Lord Ganesha’s will.”

Also, when asked about his experience during the making of he added, “It was a fantastic journey with Vishal and Aalok and I had never imagined doing a song like this. Also, Aftab Khaan, who does mixing for Bollywood has used blends of dhols, along with other musical instruments and has come up with a brilliant mix that captures the spirit of Ganpati festival. Also, the mesmerising visuals in the video will make you get up and groove.”
Beside this, he perfectly described the amazing, inspiring traits of Bappa that one should inculcate in life.
The legendary singer also revealed about the importance of Ganpati in his life and career struggles. He told, “I didn’t skip a day passing by temple and praying to Lord Ganesh, when I was going through my struggling days. I personally believe that wishes do get fulfilled as I not only became a successful person but also married my girlfriend (wife), whom I was dating during that point of time .This is a dedication and token of thanks from me to Lord Sidhi Vinayak for being so kind.”
Lastly when asked about his upcoming projects, the devotee of Ganpati told, “By Bappa’s blessings, soon, a big project will come into everyone’s notice.”
