MUMBAI: Being a positive ‘Change Agent’, 92.7 BIG FM, one of India’s largest radio networks, announces a fun contest 'Namagegottilada Bengaluru' which translates to 'Bengaluru, That We Don’t Know'. Spearheaded by celebrated RJ Pradeepaa, the contest aims at engaging with listeners on-air, digitally as well as on-ground.
As a part of the campaign, the RJ will ask questions around the city’s heritage, legacy and trivia to test how well do Bengalureans actually know their city. With a12-hour on-air contest format, listeners stand a chance to win exciting prizes every hour for 4 weeks. Winners of the contest will be announced on-air, through the RJ’s social media handles and on 92.7 BIG FM’s Facebook page. Through its 360-degree approach, RJ Pradeepaa will create his ‘BIG Pradeepaa Gang’ with residents from the city in the upcoming weeks.
At 15 prominent locations the radio network will conduct an on-ground engagement, where Bengalureans will get an opportunity to meet their favorite RJ and interact with him, as the canter will halt and engage with the audience, hosting fun-filled contests and activities.
Speaking about the initiative, a spokesperson from BIG FM said, “We have always been at the forefront of driving unique initiatives, keeping in mind our audience at the core of our strategies. This campaign is one such activity which helps us connect with them on a personal level and strengthen our association with our listeners. We believe in our philosophy of ‘Dhun Badalke Toh Dekho’, which is why we are not limiting it to only one medium and are instead bringing our RJ as well as studio to the listener’s on-ground.”
Speaking on this unique concept of engaging with the people, RJ Pradeepaa said, “Radio, as a medium, is a strong tool of communication that reaches out to the masses on a large scale. It is now no longer confined to just playing music and hosting shows. As a radio jockey, I have the ability and responsibility to make a positive change in society. 92.7 BIG FM, is one of the oldest radio stations in Bengaluru, wanted to do something that benefits the society and add value to everyone's lives. My aim is to make Bengaluru a better place to live for everybody. Sharing the rich historical heritage and culture of Bengaluru with our listeners is the first step towards bringing such positive change all around.”
The campaign will be amplified on-ground as well as across digital platforms and will culminate on July 19 with a movie capturing RJ Pradeepaa’s four-week journey across digital platforms. RJ Pradeepaa, who currently hosts the show called FULL-TIME PASS on 92.7 BIG FM every Mon- Fri from 5 pm to 9 pm, will be supported by other RJ’s throughout the activity.
