BIG FM launches theme song 'Dilli Ko Nirbhay Kar' for women safety campaign
MUMBAI: Staying true to its core values, BIG FM has always believed in standing up for causes that have a huge effect on the growth and development of society. Setting an example of the same, the radio network recently launched a powerful campaign Dilli Ke Dhaakad, which touches upon the challenges women face when it comes to feeling safe in the city and will provide a solution to it.

Further amplifying the importance of addressing the cause, the radio station has launched a theme song Dilli Ko Nirbhay Kar with the intent to educate and alert more people about the struggles which women in Delhi face in their day-to-day life. The video song features well-known personality RJ Richa Anirudh who is leading the campaign along with RJ Khurafati Nitin, RJ Jassi, RJ Simran, and RJ Yogi. Through the music video, BIG FM is trying to inspire Delhiites to stop being mute spectators and take the much-required action around women safety in the Delhi NCR region.

Speaking on the theme song and women’s safety campaign, a BIG FM spokesperson said, “The women’s safety issue has always been there and not much looked into, despite the rising rate of crimes against them. As a responsible brand, we have always led from the front when it comes to taking initiatives like these which improves the condition of society. I hope the theme song and the whole campaign reflecting the gravity of the matter will reach out to more people and have a deep impact on them, thus influencing them to take actions for a better tomorrow.”

Popular radio host and anchor of Zindagi with Richa, Richa Anirudh, who has constantly been the leading light in acknowledging women issues prevailing in the society said, “We women have been objectified since a very long time for various reasons and have been called out whenever we have addressed our basic rights, including women’s safety. It saddens me to see women around me constantly living in the fear and not stepping out. With this entire initiative and release of this new song, we are looking forward to encouraging women to come out fearlessly, fight for their rights and protect their own and each other’s dignity wherever and whenever required.”

The three-month campaign started with an informal conversation around women not feeling safe in the city. The radio station keeping up with a fighting spirit to resolve the issue had done a reality-check on-ground which was followed by an engaging panel discussion at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj and a 12-hr live night show by RJ Jassi in Burari to spread awareness about women’s safety among the public so far. In addition to this, BIG FM RJs are continuously striking a conversation with people to understand the real challenges in a better manner and seek solutions to address concerns effectively.
