Kailash Kher is the music director for Desi Kattey
NEW DELHI: Singer Kailash Kher, known for his raw voice will once again be donning the cap of a music composer for Anand Kumar's next project, 'Desi Kattey'.
In the past, Kher has composed music for films Chandni Chowk to China (2009), Dasvidaniya (2008) and Sacred Evil – A True Story (2006), to name a few. He has composed and sung the title track for daily soap 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' along with Shubha Mudgal.
Director and producer Anand Kumar, who said he believes in experimenting not only with the scripts but with music directors as well, had also given composer Rabbi Shergill his break with the film 'Delhi Heights'. Kher will work as a solo director for the music of 'Desi Kattey'. There are reports that singers Shreya Ghoshal, Naresh Kamath, Paresh Kamath, Rekha Bhardwaj and Hard Kaur have also recorded their voices for the film.
'Desi Kattey' is an action-drama film which is set in Kanpur and revolves around two children who work in a pistol factory and turn out to be sharp shooters. The film features Suniel Shetty and Sasha Agha, Jay Bhanushali, Tia Bajpai and Murli Sharma. Action hero Suniel Shetty plays a coach in the film.
