Kanye West, Drake and Bruno Mars to headline Wireless Festival 2014
MUMBAI: Wireless Festival has revealed the first of its performers for this year's events. Included in the diverse and star studded line-up are Kanye West, Drake and Bruno Mars, all of whom will be headlining the three day festival.
The festival, which is in its tenth year, will also feature some of music's other big names, including Pharrell Williams, Ellie Goulding, Outkast, John Newman and Basement Jaxx. Set to take place from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 July, the annual festival will be held at Finsbury Park for the very first time.
Steve Homer, Wireless promoter from Live Nation said, "Wireless Festival celebrates its 10th year this year and we couldn't be more thrilled to mark this momentous anniversary by taking it to a second site, Perry Park in Birmingham, and a brand new site in London, Finsbury Park. We are delighted to be welcoming back Drake and Kanye West as headliners and thrilled to secure Bruno Mars for his first UK Festival headline performance. They are perfect for Wireless Festival, securing these three artists plus many more world class acts continues to cement our reputation as a world class leader on the festival circuit."
Also performing at the wireless festival will be Wiz Kalifa, Pretty Lights, Angel Haze, Iggy Azalea, A$AP Ferg, Chance the Rapper, Salt-N-Pepa, Earl Sweatshirt, Ella Eyre, Clean Bandit, Neon Jungle and Azealia Banks.
The Wireless Festival made its debut in 2005 at Hyde Park, but the contract between Royal Parks and Live Nation ended in 2012. Last year the festival was moved to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park under a one year deal. However, this year, it will be hosted at two venues- Birmingham's Perry Park and London's Finsbury Park.
Tickets for the general public will be available from Friday 31 January.
