Stevie Nicks would "love to write music" for HBO's Game of Thrones
After imparting her talents on two popular TV shows- Glee and American Horror Story, Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks is now looking to make a mark on HBO's hit show- Game of Thrones. The 65 year old singer/ songwriter revealed that she would love to write music for the fantasy drama, which is based on author- George R. R. Martin's book series 'A Song of Ice and Fire'.
In a recent interview, the 'Dreams' singer said she first came upon the show after her mother's death in 2011, and added that it helped her get through a very difficult period in her life. "I didn't leave the house for almost five months. And then I got pneumonia. With my pneumonia and my mother's death, I watched the entire first season of 'Game of Thrones.' That certainly took my mind off everything," she said about the TV series.
Nicks admitted that she has already written some poetry for each of the show's characters. "I'm always looking for that kind of inspiration, and I'm very inspired by the show -- as I was very inspired by 'Twilight,'" she added.
The American veteran rock singer also marvelled at series writer- Martin's ability to create such a "vast, interlinked world". Speaking about her favourite characters from the show she said 'Khaleesi' (played by Emilia Clarke) is her current favourite heroine. Nicks also added that 'Cersei Lannister' (Lena Headey) is fantastic, along with other characters.
Earlier this year Nicks appeared as a guest star on FX thriller 'American Horror Story' and played a fictional version of herself, in the episode titled 'The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks' and even performed a few songs on the show.
