MUMBAI: Great things happen when we come together. The onset of August brings with it celebration of camaraderie. This Friendship Day, India’s largest social singing app, Smule and Radio Mirchi come together to create a magical bond between music and friendship with a brand-new anthem, “India Jam Karega”.
What started out as an ad jingle took an interesting turn of events. They say three time’s a charm. Well, the charm worked right its way up when real-life musical buddies, Benny Dayal, Shalmali and Sneha Khanwalkar, jammed with each other to create a foot-thumping music track dedicated to their spirit of friendship.
At first, this trio was set out to create a just a jingle for Smule. But seeing potential in their own creation, the buddy musicians wanted to take their shared passion for music to the next level. Days of jamming together, changing notes here, adding beats there, and lots of fun is what gave way to this amazing friendship anthem - “India Jam Karega”. It truly is the product of a jam session of three great friends.
So, what better way to ring in the Friendship Day festivities than with a super cool jam of dosti created by three millennial friends? India Jam Karega, brought to us by Smule and Radio Mirchi, is filled with the emotion of togetherness and captures cherished moments where friends unite in song and in spirit. Replete with fun and energy, this track cherishes the bonds we share with the ones closest to us. The unique song dedicated to friendship joins the Smule Friendship Jam Playlist that features other evergreen hits of dosti like Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan, Aaya Mausam Dosti Ka, Salamat Rahe Dostana Humara and more.
While celebrating this day of dosti the conventional way seems less likely, Smule and Radio Mirchi have an exciting way to kick in the Friendship Day festivities virtually on the Smule App. The campaign, Smule Friendship Jam with Radio Mirchi, will be a two-week long celebration of companionship with exciting digital fun in store for India’s music-loving community.
