Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM appeals to listeners
MUMBAI: Neither do they follow any religion, nor do they understand any language…they are emotionless and believe in spreading terror!
Then why are we being biased and blaming a particular community?
India has recently been rocked and terrorised by a spate of serial blasts. People across the globe have been praying for peace and harmony while on the other hand have pointed accusing fingers at a particular community, holding them responsible for these acts of terror.
Realising it's responsibility to spread awareness amongst listeners, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, India's hottest Radio station has pledged and announced its 15-day long campaign BE ALERT BUT DON'T BE PREJUDICED' campaign beginning October 2.
BE ALERT BUT DON'T BE PREJUDICED' campaign is an appeal to one and all to practice communal peace and tolerance rather than blindly blaming a particular caste/religion for the cause.
The campaign will air the opinions and views (recorded) of Muslims who lead normal, regular lives and have shared their concerns at these senseless attacks on innocent people. Aimed at spreading the message of community tolerance, the campaign will appeal to listeners not to be prejudiced against people of any particular faith, as terrorism does not emerge from a community.
Speaking on the initiative, Riya Mukherjee, Vice President, CSR & Brand Integration, Radio Mirchi, said, Radio Mirchi has always made sincere efforts to speak in one voice – that of open-mindedness to all faiths and caring among the citizens of this country. The need of the hour is to liberate India from all acts of terror instead of retreating back into our communal identities and attacking each other's faiths. We are Indians first and we must stop blaming other communities for these brutal deeds. With our Be Alert but don't be Prejudiced' campaign, we would like to communicate the right message of practicing communal peace amongst our listeners....
