Rock band Blakc working on a new project

MUMBAI: Here is an extra dose of happiness for the Blakc fans as the band is working on a new untitled album, which is more likely to be present on iTunes. The album will release by the end of this year.
Shawn Pereira vocalist from the quintet told Radioandmusic.com, "We performed this year in India and opened for Megadeth in Delhi for MTV Xtreme show. It was a high-point for us as we have opened for Metallica and Megadeth, which is very exciting." Other members are Roop Thomas (Bass), Reinhardt Dias (Guitars), Anish Menon (Guitars) and Varun Sood(Drums).
He further went on to speak about his untitled album planned for 2014. "We are currently working on our third album and will soon be recording it as we have finished writing it. Our last two albums had ten songs thus the new one would also have around ten songs." ‘MotheredLand’ in 2012 and debut album 'Choking on a Dream' in December 2008, are their two released albums. The band also has an audio recorded from a show ‘Blakc Unplugged Live @ The Blue Frog'.
Band which was formed in 2007 had faced it set of challenges before reaching where it is now. Keeping in mind the band journey and their learning, Pereira said, "Perseverance and expression are a couple of challenges faced by any artistes as hard times are bound to come and if you are able to live it then one can survive." He further added, "We have been around for seven years now. Many good bands came and went, they might have been excellent at their work, but issues like their unwillingness to compromise have been one of the few reasons for their failure."
Talking about the present music scenario, he strongly believes that more than having many new organisations promoting the Indie space it is very important to have a band which would be able to create an impact. He also opined that MTV Indies is doing a good job. "It is more about being independent and that is the ideology that MTV Indie is trying to push is good. The influx of anything new that comes with an intension and aim to propagate new music, is going to be good."
