Honey Singh ropes in newbie Arpita Chakraborty for 2015 project

MUMBAI: Arpita Chakraborty who recently released her track 'Lori of Death' for Ragini MMS 2 is moving upward in the Bollywood music industry rather quickly. She has recorded with composer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh for a film scheduled to release next year.

A typical 'Yo Yo' number, the track will be upbeat, with a fast tempo and a groovy tune. The dance number has been composed and produced by him. The song is for a Hindi action drama film co-produced by Viacom Motion Pictures. The soundtrack and film score for the movie has been composed by Sajid-Wajid, and the film is scheduled to release early 2015.

"I had the chance to record with Yo Yo Honey Singh and after hearing that song, he has already given me some more work with him,” added an excited Chakraboty. She also said that it will be a tad different from what he has been doing and will thus have the element of surprise. "Nonetheless, it is a very Yo Yo Song,” she said, assuring all the Honey Singh fans.

Chakraborty's song 'Lori of Death' from the film Ragini MMS 2 received a lot of positive response from fans and reviewers, few of whom compared the song to classics like 'Gumnaam Hai Koi'.

Yo Yo, on the other hand, has been on a recording spree with 'Chaar Bottal Vodka' for Ragini MMS 2, followed by his collaboration with actor Amitabh Bachchan titled 'Party with the Bhootnaath', for Bachchan's upcoming film 'Bhoothnaath Returns'. The video for the track was released on 21 March.

Dabbling with languages, Chakraborti has already sung in 16 languages and has lent her voice for 'Laadi Godi' a track for an upcoming Marathi film 'Hu Tu Tu' directed by Kanchan Adhikari.
