DJ Shilpi Sharma receives more offers after Baby Doll

MUMBAI: Actress turned DJ- Shilpi Sharma who was the face of the 'Baby Doll' remix, is very happy to have been given the opportunity to remix track of the hit film 'Ragini MMS 2'. She revealed that offers from the Bollywood fraternity have been flooding in since the remix. But she wants to be careful before committing to them as she will be getting back to acting.
Sharma said, “I took to music after the death of my father. I wanted to take a break from acting and do something different and music was the apt thing to do at that time. I enjoy it a lot." It was her previous work that got the attention of Meet Brothers-Anjaan who approached her to remix the track 'Baby Doll', which garnered more than 13 million. “Original Baby Doll was so beautiful and having a remix of it had built so much expectation around it. So I did not do much with the track but made an extended version and modified it with few elements that would make it fast and groovy." She also felt that earlier, the track was slow and did not work well with the dance floor pace. She was given the project a month before the launch of 'Baby Doll'. She gave them more than ten options to pick from and finally one was approved by T-Series and Ekta Kapoor, she added.
She is also quite happy with the way her career has shaped up. Sharma is ready to go back to acting but she ensures that it will not disturb her DJ career. She is also working on her debut album, which will include her original music and some remixes.
Sharma plays deep house, progressive, tech, commercial and Bollywood music in clubs all over the country. She learnt DJ-ing with the help of her friends. She recently performed for Sony's corporate party where Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez and music composer Pritam had also performed. 31 year old Sharma is also looking forward to performing more gigs.
