AR Rahman busy with final touches for 'Million Dollar Arm' soundtrack

MUMBAI: Academy Award winning composer and living legend, AR Rahman, has been caught up with adding the final touches to his soundtrack for the Hollywood film 'Million Dollar Arm'.

According to a post on his Facebook page, Rahman seems to have collaborated with the likes of Iggy (Pop), Kendrick Lamar (in the movie only), KT Tunstall, Sukhwinder Singh and Raghav Mathur amongst others, for the soundtrack for the film. He has also worked on “lots of underscore”, which was also mentioned in the post.

Rahman also mentioned that the soundtrack will have a surprise Tamil song from his '90s collection, which will play during the end credits. The track is said to have vocals by KS Chithra and Unnikrishnan. The recording of the score was completed by February 2014 and the album is scheduled to release on 13 May 2014.

'Million Dollar Arm' is an upcoming biographical sports drama film based on a true story of baseball pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel, who were discovered by a sports agent J. B. Bernstein after winning a reality show competition. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie and produced for Walt Disney Pictures. The film stars Madhur Mittal (Patel), Suraj Sharma (Singh) and Jon Hamm (Bernstein).

The film is slated to release on 16 May 2014.
