Chennai: Rotary Club of Madras Midtown, RI District 3230 today honored RJ BIG Dheena, who hosts BIG Vanakkam show in BIG 92.7 FM with the prestigious Vocational Excellence award... for continuously hosting on-air show for 168 hours to become the only Indian RJ to create a new Guinness book of world record. The award was presented to RJ BIG Dheena by Rtn. K.B Sridhar, president of Rotary club of Madras Midtown and Rtn. PK Bijoy Pillai, Director, Vocational service, Rotary club of Madras Midtown.

RJ BIG Dheena became the only RJ from India to break the Guinness record (135 hours of non-stop RJing) set by an Italian RJ by hosting on-air show continuously for 168 hours. The attempt for Guinness started on 21st August 2008 at 5.00 am and the new record was set exactly at 5.00 am on 28th August 2008  Adhering to the Guinness Book of World Record's rules and regulations, BIG 92.7 FM ensured all arrangements required like medical check up for RJ BIG Dheena. A team of medical practitioners were present to constantly monitor RJ BIG Dheena's health. There were witnesses present at BIG 92.7 FM studios who constantly monitored RJ BIG Dheena's performance. As per the requirement, the attempt was video graphed and a copy of the same will be sent to Guinness. Even the minutest details have been taken care of by BIG 92.7 FM.
