'Badtameez Dil' nominated at the International Song Contest
MUMBAI: For years Benny Dayal has entertained music fans all over the country with numerous hits like 'Kaise Mujhe', 'Pappu Can't Dance Saala' and others. While many of his songs have brought him several accolades in the Indian music industry, his 2013 track- 'Badtameez Dil' from the film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' has taken him one step further. The track, for which Shefali Alvares has also rendered vocals, has been nominated for the 8th International song contest.
The 30 year old singer shared his excitement with his fans on his official Facebook page and also thanked composer Pritam for the same. “All of you have made this happen. One of the greatest achievements in my life. #badtameezdil. Shefali and I represent India at the Global Sound Parade of Nations. Thank you Pritam da!!!! Wow that's another milestone overnight!!!"
“Shefali and I have been nominated and it is obviously a proud moment as we have been nominated with the stalwarts like Katy Perry," said Dayal to Radioandmusic.com.
As of now 71 countries have confirmed their participation. The International Song Contest was started in June of 2012. The goal of the contest was to get countries together and showcase the importance of music and culture by the various talents of the world.
