Cheryl Cole to release first single 'Crazy Stupid Love' from new album this July

MUMBAI: British pop singer Cheryl Cole will release her first single this July after a hiatus of almost two years. The new single titled 'Crazy Stupid Love' will be dropped on 20 July through Universal Music, and will be part of her upcoming fourth studio album. The video for the track, which has been directed by Colin Tilley, was released earlier this month on Vevo.

The upcoming single is said to be a "blast of feel good pop" and will feature Brit rapper Tinie Tempah. 'Crazy Stupid Love' will see Cole reunite with songwriter Wayne Wilkins, who worked with the former Girls Aloud member on her 2009 UK chart topper 'Fight for this Love'.

Speaking about the new single, Cole said, "I can't remember being so excited to be releasing new music. After taking some time out I feel brand new and I had such a special time making this record."

'Crazy Stupid Love' will be her ninth single release and the first from her new, as-yet-untitled studio album, which is expected to release by this autumn. She will also be performing the track on 21 June at Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium.

The 30 year old singer has so far released three solo albums, which have brought her three chart toppers and several other top ten singles. Cole's music videos have a combined total of more than 200 million views. Cole will also be back as judge on the 11th season of 'The X Factor', where she will join music mogul Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, and former spice girl Mel B on the panel.
